Conservation & Gardening

Madhyamaka Centre is surrounded by extensive woodland, a lake, and landscaped gardens. We currently require skilled or enthusiastic volunteers in the following areas:

Conservation Projects

We are aiming to improve the lake and woodland, by creating a habitat to encourage wildlife. Tasks range from path construction and maintenance, to the creation of wildlife habitats.

Gardens

We have recently completed the Walled Garden and a Wildflower Garden, with more gardens planned. Tasks range from propagation to weeding.

You can come for a week, a few days, or if you live locally, just for the day. There is also the opportunity to join the Friends of Kilnwick Percy Hall Gardens, and become actively involved in maintaining and improving the Gardens. please contact us.
