The next step for your meditation practice
September is an ideal time to join the Foundation Programme in York because we’re beginning a new course, studying the book Joyful Path of Good Fortune by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
The Foundation Programme is a systematic study and meditation programme designed for people who wish to deepen their understanding and experience of Kadampa Buddhism. Through it we can improve our good heart, our wisdom, and our cherishing of others, and enjoy the friendship and community of like-minded people.
Joyful Path is a clear and comprehensive explanation of the entire path to enlightenment. We all have the potential for self-transformation, and a limitless capacity for the growth of good qualities, but to fulfil this potential we need to know what to do along every stage of our spiritual journey.
With this book, Geshe Kelsang offers us step-by-step guidance on the meditation practices that will lead
us to lasting inner peace and happiness. With extraordinary clarity, he presents all Buddha’s teachings in
the order in which they are to be practised, enriching his explanation with stories and illuminating
analogies. This is a perfect guidebook to the Buddhist path.
Sundays 3.30 – 8pm held at Millers Yard, 2 & 4 Millers Yard Gillygate, York YO31 7EB click here for a map.
Anyone can join and experience the great benefits of being part of this regular study programme. To find out more or book a free taster, please contact the Education Programme Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
