Discover Meditation

Sept 10 · 17 · 24

Everyone can learn to meditate; it doesn’t require long periods of sitting and silence but is something we can incorporate into our busy daily lives. Meditation gives us the tools to be happier, more peaceful, kinder to others, a better example to our children. If you are new to meditation or feel the need for some inspiration and encouragement to refresh your practice this is the perfect series for you!

Stop Worrying, Start Living!

Oct 15 · 22 · 29 – Nov 5

Our negative states of mind such as uncontrolled desire, stress, and worry create endless problems for ourselves and others, and mean we can never really relax and be happy. Buddha’s popular teaching on the Four Noble Truths offers a clear and simple solution, guiding us to an oasis of peace within our hearts.

Overcoming Anger and Frustration

Nov 12 · 19 · 26 – Dec 3 · 10

Anger, frustration and disappointment afflict us almost every day, causing problems in our relationships at home and at work, destroying our peace of mind and even affecting our health. In this series we will take a look at what anger is, why it arises, and learn methods to reduce it. Buddhist teachings have time-honoured techniques and lines of reasoning that give us effective, constructive responses to these painful states of mind.
